Recently, GDS received an enquiry for 10 laptop repairs. After a quotation and several emails later, a cheque arrived (without any accompanying letter etc - very strange). However it was banked and several days later it returned 'UNPAID'. Apparently the cheque was a counterfeit cheque. So beware that this is a possible issue with internet enquiries

Tiscali Customers Still Not Out Of The Woods!
Just when you thought it was all done and dusted. Tiscali customers(read Talk Talk here) are still suffering with issues connecting to the internet. After talking with a customer, who has had a Tiscali broadband account for sometime, it became apparent that Talk Talk have still not got all the issues sorted out. The customer has had loss of internet access for 3days now (usually systems are back up and running within 24hrs), though to be fair to Talk Talk, their Technical Support line is being answered and the customer was contacted to see if the issue had been resolved. In this case it had not.
What was really concerning for the customer, who uses the internet for business use was that he needed to get his accounts to the accountant for preparation, before the deadline (11 days hence). It will be touch and go with the situation as it is at the moment. Watch this space......
Further news on Tiscali .... Situation resolved and Hats Off to their technical support, though a dead router and a duff replacement router, didn't help.
